Punishment / action for misconduct

An employee guilty of misconduct may be:

  • Warned or censured.
  • Fined
  • Subjected to stoppage of increments with or without cumulative effect.
  • Reduced to the lower scale in the time scale of pay.
  • Demoted to junior category or to lower grade.
  • Suspension without pay for a period not exceeding four days at a time.
  • Dismissed without notice or any compensation in lieu of notice.
