Mobile phone Policy

The aim of this policy is to provide employees with guidelines regarding the use of mobile phone.

  • All employees are required to have their own mobile phones.
  • Employees are eligible for mobile allowance as per company policies which are based on bands and the project requirements.
  • Company shall pay the amount mentioned in the mobile allowance policy to the respective employee every month. Any additional mobile charges if incurred by the employee, will have to be borne by the respective employee itself.
  • All employees are requested to port their existing phone subscription to the preferred service provider of the company (Currently Airtel postpaid plans) or buy a new SIM from
    airtel and join the closed user group of the company. If existing number is migrated the mobile number would not change as the existing numbers would be migrated to the new service provider at no extra cost.
  • Due to extensive mobile communication requirements , It is mandatory for staffs under operations and its subordinate departments to have at least one mobile number on the
    company CUG.
  • All calls made to members within the Closed user group - CUG of the company (Karnataka subscribers) would be free of cost.
  • Mobile bills will be sent directly to the subscriber and not to Prasanna Technologies.
  • CUG could be extended to family members and friends of employees, hence this would allow free calls even to these numbers. The bills would be payable by the respective
    employees and not Prasanna technologies. SIM cards to family members should be taken in the name of the employee (as per AIRTEL’s policy).
  • The employee's duties may require them to spend time out of the office and/or to be contactable outside the normal hours of work.
  • The use of a mobile phone while driving should be avoided.
  • During office hours private usage of mobile phone should be kept to a minimum. If it is found that an employee is using his or her phone irresponsibly, including excessive personal calls and / or SMSs during office hours then the employee may be warned against the same.
  • If customers expect to find an employee on their mobile phone rather than on a regular fixed telephone in the office, then the mobile should be kept on, in the office and even after office hours.
  • While in office the mobile should preferably be in vibration mode with the ringer turned off.
  • At the time of retirement, leaving the company the employee is expected to inform the client the contact number of the new employee who would henceforth be handling his / her role
  • Data usage plans / internet plans are prerogative to the employee and the company does not insist or provide any internet allowance on mobile phones.
